Philosophical

My friend Nancy shared these profound words with me that I too, want to share with all who stop to read this:

In India, when we meet and part we often say, Namaste, which means "I honor the place in you where the entire universe resides; I honor the place in you of love, of light, of truth, of peace, I honor the place within you where if you are in that place in you and I am in that place in me, there is only one of us."

Our imagination has always delivered us to places we physically could not be or become. What dreams did you awake with today? Are we the only species so challenged? Do others in our universe imagine across space and time and perhaps even dream in colors not seen by us?

Amusements

When I first saw Stanley Kubrick's movie: "2001: A Space Odyssey" back in 1968, the future of space exploration looked great. There was a Space race to get to the moon. There were neat trading cards about visiting outer planets and building space stations. I thought I'd could be planning for a trip to the moon by this time. Such are boyhood dreams. A "Cold War" with a nuclear arms race got in the way.

Now in its sixth year,
the most comprehensive celebration ever created
in honour of Stanley Kubrick's
"2001: A Space Odyssey" http://www.underview.com/2001/2001.html

For now at least, we can enjoy a look back in time with the Hubble Space Telescope and see earlier moments in far corners of this universe. It's a lonely one so it seems so far. Perhaps what is a blink in time for this universe is an eternity of not knowing for us. Across the space and time continuum, when we can hear the chatter in the noise or recognize a pattern in the darkeness then our existence will so be re-defined. It's back to the office...or maybe just one more side trip to the The Deep Space Network - "NASA'S Communications Network with Outer Space."
